Membership is open to any one who uses chemicals in their occupation and holds a current chemical application licence. Contractors based outside New South Wales who have a Commercial Operators Licence are also very welcome to join.

Why Become A Member?

Spray operators are generally a part of a relatively business. Becoming a member makes us a larger collective group that has a better chance of being recognised as a significant sector of the agricultural community. This provides the NGA with a great advantage in either raising or protesting issues and decisions that concern chemical application and the welfare of operators.

An example of the benefits that can be gained by this organisation for the wider spraying community was exemplified in the overthrow of the RTA's decision to deny the registration of self propelled spray rigs. In conjuction with the NSW Farmers Association, the NGA met with the NGA in Moree and succeeded in reinstating the registration of self propelled spray rigs. The overthrow of the RTA's decision illustrates the importance of the NGA in assisting the profitability of operators and their businesses.
